In a genre where Mortal Kombat, Tekken, and Street Fighter reign, it’s refreshing to see a game that gives fans what they want. Nothing brings euphoria quite like seeing the bad guy receive violent punishment. It’s common to see these in fighting games, but it’s still satisfying to see after the end of every match. The amazing visual presentation is followed by other good touches such as slow yet brutal deaths, and close-ups of the gore. This will allow you to put together a combo move or create a counterattack. There is also a fun little practice mode that encourages players to work on some places of concern. Terrordrome provides multiplayer and single-player modes as in other action games. The soundtrack and sound effects of some lovely melodies are perfect for smashing heads and shattering bones. Terrordrome can be a deep combat game - considering there’s so much lore surrounding its characters - but its dependency on button recall rather than a spontaneous gaming experience (like resorting to button mashing when you play Mortal Kombat or Tekken) put a damper on the fun. It may not be a sight for sore eyes, but it helps the fighters pull focus during the matches.Ĭontrols are responsive and the motion on the screen looks seamless, but the setup of the control takes a certain amount of time. The arenas and background, however, are very soft and lifeless - a sharp contrast to the characters on the screen. While the characters don't have the great shade and specifications of the leading match, the cartoonish animation is a novelty for horror fans. The entire idea is wonderfully packaged and delivers a solid arcade game that is worth trying out, especially for its cast of complex characters and seamless motion graphics that pull you into heated struggles. A total of 12 scariest villains from horror and slasher films are available in this game such as The Candy Man, Freddie Krueger, Ash, etc.
